Case Studies

The AIoT User Group is researching and documenting relevant case studies for experience sharing and as the foundation for AIoT boot camps and training. Selected case studies are directly embedded into the AIoT Framework. Case studies must showcase a combination of both, AI and IoT.

Icon Case Study Description Highlights Status
Particle accelerator
LHC particle accelerator at CERN The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is a 27-km ring of superconducting magnets to control particle beams. The LHCb experiment is designed to examine what happens when certain particles traveling at the speed of light collide. Excellent case study on very large-scale Industrial IoT with advanced AI Case Study is complete
Tightening tool
Smart, connected tightening systems Industrial tightening systems are increasingly becoming handheld and wireless (IoT), with on-board and back-end intelligence (AI) for process optimization and error handling. This will be the first use case documented using all Ignite AIoT templates. Work in progress
Drones for Building Inspection
Drones for Building Inspection Using Drones and AI for automated building inspection is helping to significantly reduce costs and increase building safety Coming soon
Elevator monitoring
Elevator monitoring Utilizing modern sensor technology and AI to provide a retrofit solution for elevator monitoring Coming soon
